DESCRIPTION:The Katsuura Grand Doll Festival is one of the city’s spring traditions. Thousands of ornamental dolls are displayed throughout Katsuura\, welcoming visitors at special exhibitions such as the stone steps of Tomisaki Shrine\, the Somena intersection\, and the steps of Kakuoji Temple. In 2027\, approximately 25\,000 hina dolls will be exhibited citywide! The main hall of Kyuste will feature 7\,000 dolls\, and the 60 steps leading up to Tomisaki Shrine will showcase around 1\,800 dolls in a breathtaking display. Each doll\, while delicate on its own\, creates an impressive sight when gathered together. Tomisaki Shrine will also be illuminated from dusk\, creating a magical evening atmosphere different from the daytime.
