Amagi is a top producer of fresh water-grown wasabi and has become recognized as an agricultural heritage site, boosting its popularity even further. The Wasabi Grating Championship features a timed competition to prepare wasabi rice, sure to be an emotional contest. The winner will receive a stay voucher for Tatsuta Inn. The festival also offers a popular wasabi-picking game for 1000 yen per try.
