The Shimbashi Illumination is held at the SL Plaza outside Shimbashi Station’s west exit in Tokyo. The event features the iconic steam locomotive beautifully decorated with lights and enhanced with advanced digital effects. Dynamic lighting synchronized with music creates the impression that the locomotive is coming to life. This enchanting display of lights has become a beloved winter tradition in Shimbashi.
